Bluehost vs WPX at a glance

Bluehost

Bluehost is the most outstanding all-around web hosting provider. While the competition is intense right now, it continues to perform great in almost every way, providing the whole combination of speed, protection, flexibility, and, most importantly, exceptional reliability.

In addition to various web hosting services, Bluehost also provides marketing programs, content development, and more! Overall, this web host caters to everyone, from new bloggers to huge e-commerce companies, as well as long-time WordPress users.

WPX

WPX is an excellent hosting provider and they claim to be the fastest in the world and they back it up with several awards. They exclusively cater to WordPress users so if you are one of them you’re in luck. WPX is definitely a premium hosting service but they back it up with insane speed and great customer service.

A big plus in WPX’s corner is the security features with SSL, 28-day backup, and DDoS protection. These are offered free with any package.

#2 Pricing

Bluehost

Bluehost has trustworthy hosting packages designed for your goals, whether you’re just starting or require extensive functionality. Check out these plans before getting one for yourself or your desired business.

    • BASIC ─ $2.95 per month
    • PLUS  $5.45 per month
    • CHOICE PLUS   $5.45 per month
    • PRO  $13.95 per month

Just a piece of advice, every Bluehost plan includes a free SSL certificate, so you’ll never have to deal with the hassle of visitors seeing a notice that your website is unsafe.

    Pros

Spend a bit of time studying the top web hosting services, and Bluehost will be mentioned multiple times as it’s widely utilized and extremely popular.

But what distinguishes Bluehost from the competition? Check out these pros I came to know as your helpful guide.

    • Blogger-friendly
    • Simple to use, even for beginners
    • Exceptional server uptime (99,98%)
    • Incredibly fast server speed
    • WordPress compatible
    • Great customer service

    Cons

Even though Bluehost is an ideal choice for web users, it still has its downsides for you to know about. Check out the following:

    •  Increased price for renewals
    • Upgrades and add ons modes are pricey
    • Limitations of the entry-level plan

    WPX

WPX has plans that can be paid for monthly or yearly. The prices listed here are based on monthly plans.

    • $24.99 per month for the business plan
    • $49.99 per month for the professional plan
    • $99.00 per month for the elite plan

    Pros

A big advantage of WPX is all the free stuff you get with any plan. It is popular with pro users and is known for its superb customer service. They also use their servers, which is remarkable. Many other providers rent servers. The obvious benefit is the great uptime and the fact that WPX is not dependent on different companies.

    • All plans can be paid monthly
    • World-class customer service
    • No upsells, no surprises
    • Incredible speed
    • Lots of free features with every plan
    • Managed WordPress hosting
    • Free security options

    Cons

Although WPX is a great service, there are some downsides:

    • More pricey than competitors
    • Limited servers in Asia
    • No phone customer support

    Winner

It’s crystal clear that Bluehost and WPX are excellent hosting providers. However, Bluehost outperforms WPX in terms of value for money. In addition, its excellent customer service, reasonable renewal fees, and satisfying performance make it the clear champ in this category.

    #3 Speed

Remember this: the faster your site loads, the higher your conversion rate. People despise waiting, so do your best to choose a web host that provides quick page loading time. The more effort you invest in maintaining your website fast and conveniently, the more revenue you generate.

    Bluehost

Bluehost is among the quickest A-rated hosting providers with a speed of 140 ms. In my judgment, you can be guaranteed that Bluehost will be able to process regardless of where your core audience is located.

    WPX

WPX has extremely fast loading speeds with a blistering 357ms. This is one of the fastest hosting services on the web. This speed is possible to achieve in regions where servers are located. So the highest speeds are feasible in the USA, Australia, and Europe while speeds are probably lower in other parts of the world.

    #4 Uptime

    Bluehost

Bluehost guarantees 99.88 percent uptime! Because no web host can promise 100 percent uptime, 99.88% is a convincing win, equating to approximately one hour and 45 minutes of downtime every year.

    WPX

WPX has a guaranteed uptime of 99.95%. Even though this is still very good it equates to 4 hours a year. As a guarantee, it is not very impressive but in practice, the uptime is much higher, around 99,99%.

    #5 Customer service

    Bluehost

One advantage of partnering with a large provider such as Bluehost is that they provide complete support, such as 24/7 chat and phone assistance! They’re easily reachable via live chat, and I didn’t even wait more than five minutes to speak with someone.

The agents always answer with beneficial information, frequently including links that are beyond helpful. In addition, they appeared educated and in a position to guide me. What a relief!

If you want to solve your problem yourself, consider looking for an answer on Bluehost’s support forums. It is generally faster to conduct independent research, and that approach will eventually provide you with a greater grasp of how the site works.

    WPX

WPX’s customer service is one of the features that really shines. They have an almost unbelievably fast response to any question. With an average of 33 seconds to respond, this customer service is truly world-class.

While other services give links to support articles or give vague instructions, WPX goes out of its way to make sure your website will be working as soon as possible. The experience I have with WPX is that they fix problems they can fix and tell you what plugins or features are causing problems on your website. Also, they always follow up to make sure your website is working as intended.

On the support page, you can find an extremely well-organized and well-stocked knowledge base. There are more than enough sources here to fix issues yourself. But you can probably just as easily ask them, it’s just as fast!

    #6 How to install

Follow these 4 steps to set up your hosting account:

Step 1: Open the website of Bluehost and click ‘get started’

I arranged a nice 50% discount for your entire hosting plan.

Step 2: Select your hosting plan

Depending on how many websites you’re planning to host, you can select your plan. If you only need to build 1 website, you can select the cheapest one.

Step 3: Find an available domain name

Here comes the fun part. Play around with the domain name checker and find one that’s available. Click ‘next’ if you found one.

Step 4: Enter your details and confirm the payment

Now you’ve registered with Bluehost, it’s time to install Wordpress. Luckily for you, this is the easiest part. Bluehost offers a one-click install for Wordpress.

Here’s what you need to do:

In the control panel on your left  side, click ‘My Sites’.

From here you can launch your Wordpress website by clicking on ‘Create site by Wordpress’.

    That’s it. It’s dead easy.

Now you’ve registered your WordPress website it’s time to install a WordPress page builder.

I recommend using Divi by Elegant Themes.

Phase 2 – How To Install Divi

Step 1: Go to the website of Elegant Themes and click on pricing

Step 2: Select the plan which fits your needs

I would recommend taking the lifetime plan, but if you’re short on cash or doing a short-term project the annual plan is obviously fine as well.

Step 3: Fill in the payment details

Step 4: Log in to your account and go to downloads

Download the Divi theme. If you do this, you won’t need the Divi builder plugin. All its features are included in the Divi theme.

Now you’ve downloaded Divi or it’s time to upload it to WordPress.

Uploading a theme is very simple. Here’s what you got to do:

Step 5: Go to your WordPress dashboard

Step 6: On the left side, click on ‘appearance’, and then on ‘themes’

Step 7: Click on ‘add new’ and go to ‘upload theme’

Now select your Divi Theme file and submit it.

    Step 8: Click ‘activate theme’

    That’s it. Divi is installed!

    #7 SEO

I’m going to keep this short. Both of them are great for SEO.

I’ve been able to rank multiple of my websites to the number one spot in Google for very high competitive keywords. A few of my websites actually get more than 500,000 visitors per year through Google.

Actually, the website you’re looking at is hosted by WPX. And it’s getting over 40.000 views per month – all with SEO.

That being said, the same goes for Bluehost I’ve seen several big websites with millions of visitors per month, all because of SEO.

    #8 Examples

Definitely have a look at both these collections to get a better understanding of what’s possible with each of them.

    #9 Conclusion

These two companies both offer fantastic hosting. I highly recommend Bluehost for its excellent simplicity, uptime, and pricing as a website enthusiast. Overall, it is the most desirable hosting option if you’re just starting out.

However, WPX is the best choice for pro users. If you have a successful website or even multiple websites WXP is the choice for you. The outstanding customer service, speed, and security are highly recommended for anyone that is running a serious business.
