Bluehost vs GoDaddy at a glance

Bluehost

Bluehost is the most outstanding all-around web hosting provider. While the competition is intense right now, it continues to perform great in almost every way, providing the whole combination of speed, protection, flexibility, and, most importantly, exceptional reliability.

In addition to various web hosting services, Bluehost also provides marketing programs, content development, and more!

Overall, this web host caters to everyone, from new bloggers to huge e-commerce companies, as well as long-time WordPress users.

GoDaddy

Like Bluehost, GoDaddy has powerful hosting built for any business!

When your website is down, you may be missing out on an opportunity to communicate with a potential customer. The good thing is, GoDaddy has dependable hosting to serve your needs.

If you’re searching for a host that is generous with storage but does not require unlimited space, look no further. GoDaddy’s hosting services include everything from web hosting to lightning-fast dedicated servers. Everything is right here.

#2 Pricing

Let’s talk about pricing. This might be the variable that could help you choose between Bluehost and GoDaddy.

Bluehost

Bluehost has trustworthy hosting packages designed for your goals, whether you’re just starting or require extensive functionality. Check out these plans before getting one for yourself or your desired business.

    • BASIC $2.95 per month
    • PLUS $5.45 per month
    • CHOICE PLUS $5.45 per month
    • PRO $13.95 per month

Just a piece of advice, every Bluehost plan includes a free SSL certificate, so you’ll never have to deal with the hassle of visitors seeing a notice that your website is unsafe.

If you want, a premium SSL certificate can be purchased for $49.99/year for enhanced security. This is a good purchase for sites where users have to enter sensitive information if you ask me!

    Pros

Spend a bit of time studying the top web hosting services, and Bluehost will be mentioned multiple times as it’s widely utilized and extremely popular.

But what distinguishes Bluehost from the competition?

Check out these pros I came to know as your helpful guide.

    • Blogger-friendly
    • Simple to use, even for beginners
    • Exceptional server uptime (99,98%)
    • Incredibly fast server speed
    • WordPress compatible
    • Great customer service

    Cons

Even though Bluehost is an ideal choice for web users, it still has its downsides for you to know about. Check out the following:

    •  Increased price for renewals
    • Upgrades and add ons modes are pricey
    • Limitations of the entry-level plan

      GoDaddy

GoDaddy offers four pricing options for your hosting needs:

        • Starter $3.99 per month
        • Economy $4.33 per month
        • Deluxe $7.99 per month
        • Ultimate ─ $12.99 per month

        All plans include:

        • Easy-to-use control panel.
        • 1-click install of over 150 free apps.
        • 24/7 network security.
        • Resources on-demand.
        • Global data centers.
        • 1-click domain name setup

          Pros

Although Bluehost is a good choice, GoDaddy won’t accept defeat as it also provides you superb features and functionalities a web host can give. Check these out:

          • Free domain (by the way, GoDaddy is known as the leading domain name registrar ─ so cool!)
          • Solid reputation
          • Has c-Panel
          • Unlimited disk space
          • 99.95% uptime
          • Straightforward signup

          Cons

Even though GoDaddy is an ideal choice for web users, it still has its downsides for you to know about. Check out the following:

          • Inconsistent customer support
          • No free backups
          • Expensive restoration fees
          • Sites limitation

          Winner

It’s crystal clear that Bluehost and GoDaddy are excellent hosting providers. However, Bluehost outperforms GoDaddy in terms of value for money. In addition, its excellent customer service, reasonable renewal fees, and satisfying performance make it the clear champ in this category.

Overall, Bluehost goes above and beyond to ensure that we, its users, are pleased and contented.

          #3 Speed

Remember this: the faster your site loads, the higher your conversion rate. People despise waiting, so do your best to choose a web host that provides quick page loading time. The more effort you invest in maintaining your website fast and conveniently, the more revenue you generate.

          The question is…

Can Bluehost and GoDaddy give you the speed you’re looking for?

          Bluehost

Bluehost is among the quickest A-rated hosting providers with a speed of 731ms. In my judgment, you can be guaranteed that Bluehost will be able to process regardless of where your core audience is located.

          GoDaddy

Today, it’s hard to find a cheaper web hosting like GoDaddy with such high performance. With speed being a prime factor in getting online traffic, you need a solid option to outshine your competitors. The good thing is, GoDaddy won’t put a frown on your face as it has a speed of 520 ms.

          Winner:

Bluehost and GoDaddy have excellent speed results to please users and web visitors. They both manage to provide outstanding performance, so no need to stress yourself when picking one.

          #4 Uptime

Uptime is an excellent indicator of how well a web hosting service keeps its systems up and functioning. Having said that, do Bluehost and GoDaddy have a high uptime percentage? Let’s find out.

          Bluehost

Bluehost guarantees 99.98 percent uptime! Because no web host can promise 100 percent uptime, 99.98 percent is a convincing win, equating to approximately one hour and 45 minutes of downtime every year.

          GoDaddy

Although not as impressive as some of its competitors,  GoDaddy maintains a solid uptime of 99.95%. It’s still worth the try if you ask me! Although its uptime isn’t on par with others, I’m confident that you won’t encounter any significant crashes or complications.

          Winner:

Bluehost for the win! Bluehost is a reputable hosting provider due to its excellent customer service, high uptime, and low-cost starter.

Purchase a plan to see its wonders! Otherwise, you suffer being penalized by search engines and providing a terrible user experience to your guests.

          #5 Customer service

In hosting, good assistance and support are crucial. Things don’t go wrong all the time, but you’d want the experts on your side when they do.

Let’s see if Bluehost and GoDaddy have the support you need when things get rough.

          Bluehost

One advantage of partnering with a large provider such as Bluehost is that they provide complete support, such as 24/7 chat and phone assistance!

They’re easily reachable via live chat, and I didn’t even wait more than five minutes to speak with someone. In addition, the agents always answer with beneficial information, frequently including links that are beyond helpful. What a relief!

          Overall, 10/10!

          GoDaddy

The 24/7 phone support and the live chat feature are significant advantages for GoDaddy. However, some say they take too long to respond, and you rarely know if you’ll receive a prompt reply. With that, GoDaddy’s customer service is a little inconsistent. Nonetheless, shoot that question and wait if you have the time.

          Winner

Bluehost provides more quality customer service than GoDaddy. If you’re a newbie to web hosting, I recommend Bluehost to help you every step of the way. It’s better to have someone by your side if you get lost.

          #6 How to install

Installing Bluehost or GoDaddy is actually super easy! Just follow my steps, and you’ll have everything set up in less than 5 minutes. Pinky promise!

I split it up into 2 phases.

Phase 1 is for Bluehost, and Phase 2 is for GoDaddy.

Phase 1 – How to Install Bluehost

Follow these four steps to set up your hosting account:

Step 1: Open the website of Bluehost and click ‘get started’

I arranged a nice 50% discount for your entire hosting plan.

Step 2: Select your hosting plan.

Depending on how many websites you plan to host, you can select your plan. If you only need to build 1 website, you can choose the cheapest one.

Step 3: Find an available domain name.

Here comes the fun part. Play around with the domain name checker and find an available one. Click ‘next’ if you found one.

Step 4: Enter your details and confirm the payment.

          That’s it. It’s dead easy.

Phase 2 – How to Install GoDaddy

Step 1: Go to GoDaddy’s website.

Step 2: Choose among Starter, Economy, Deluxe, and Ultimate plans.

          • Starter $3.99 per month
          • Economy $4.33 per month
          • Deluxe $7.99 per month
          • Ultimate ─ $12.99 per month

          Step 3: Complete your purchase.

          That’s it! Three easy-peasy steps.

Enjoy 99.9% uptime, fast loading times, and simple 1-click installation of WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, and other popular content management systems!

          #7 SEO

I’m going to keep this short. Both of them are great for SEO.

Nowadays, web hosting helps your website be accessible to all users and visitors. With that, you need something excellent to get that sweet traffic.

The good thing is, I’ve seen several big websites with millions of visitors per month with the help of Bluehost and GoDaddy! Trust me; you’ll get various hosting features you’ll love whatever you choose.

          Winner:

It is up to you to decide whether to go with Bluehost or GoDaddy because both are good with SEO.

          #8 Examples

Here is a collection of my favorite Bluehost website examples.

Definitely look at this collection to better understand what’s possible with Bluehost.

          #9 Website Builder

Bluehost and GoDaddy may seem famous with their hostings, but they also perform well as website builders.

          Bluehost

          Divi SEO Review

From beginner to expert, Bluehost Website Builder allows you to create visually appealing WordPress websites faster and more efficiently than conventional building tools. Simply bring your ideas and create a customized, professional website that will grow with you!

          GoDaddy

          Divi SEO Review

GoDaddy is a simple website builder that uses Artificial Design Intelligence (ADI) to make website construction easier and more efficient. It leverages the information you give to build a personalized site in minutes, making it ideal for newbies who wish to publish a basic result!  Just like cooking pancakes – quick and easy!

          Winner:

Bluehost’s website builder isn’t confusing to use at all! However, I recommend choosing GoDaddy as it has slick, responsive, and mobile-friendly templates that make you look fantastic on any screen. Also, you can build a website without any technical knowledge. No headaches included—just pure basics.

          #10 Conclusion

In this Bluehost vs GoDaddy comparison article, you can notice that they shine in different categories! However, Bluehost is the clear champ for the majority of rounds.

Still, these two companies both offer fantastic hosting.

I highly recommend Bluehost for its excellent simplicity, uptime, and pricing as a website enthusiast. On the other hand, if you’re searching for a host that is generous with storage, I recommend GoDaddy’s shared hosting.
