Definitive guide
Best Painter Websites of 2024 | 18 Examples + Templates
Hi – it's Ralph here 👋
In the past 10 years, I’ve designed 10+ websites for painters. Here’s what I learned:
What Matters in Painters Web Design (My Experience)
What I learned over the years building websites for Painters:
1. Showcase portfolio
I recommend adding a gallery for each format of artwork in the site (e.g. landscapes, portraits, murals, etc.) Provide a zoom in option for the visitors to view the details in your artwork. Having a slideshow of some of the best works included in the homepage is likely to attract the attention of the customers.
2. Visual appeal and creativity
I encourage you to select a bright and vibrant color that will represent you and your work, the creativity and the style. Select the font type that would blend well with the painting and, at the same time, be easily readable; pick such fonts that may look rather artistic and are selected by art designers intentionally. Ensure that the painter’s work is well displayed starting with the homepage and further into the site.
3. Clear information presentation
I recommend adding a short biography of the painter and bring out events in his/her early life up to the time he/she gained fame and why he/she paints. I also suggest enumerating the services provided, these include painting on canvas, murals, portraits, and commission as well as art classes.
Focus on this, and you’ll be fine.
PS: I suggest taking a look at the website examples below. Get inspired by their designs and see which website builders they’ve used. Best of luck!
