👋 My Experience With News Web Design
Hi – it’s Ralph here 👋 In the past 10 years, I’ve designed 7+ news websites. What I learned over the years building news websites:
1. Updated Contents
To become an effective news website, you need to make sure that your content is up to date. The news you write for your website must be hot and unbiased. I suggest using a content hierarchy to inform your audience about the fresh news.
2. Text Balance
Since news websites are text-heavy, prioritize text readability. I suggest using simple and clean fonts. Avoid using complex design as well to keep your audience from distractions while reading your content.
3. Fast Loading Times
Despite being content-heavy, news websites must still be able to load quickly. I recommend compressing images and using lazy loading to ensure that important content will load first.
Focus on this, and you’ll be fine.
PS: I suggest taking a look at the website examples below. Get inspired by their designs and see which website builders they’ve used. Best of luck!
