👋 My Experience With Gallery Web Design
Hi – it’s Ralph here 👋 In the past 10 years, I’ve designed 15+ websites for galleries. What I learned over the years building websites for galleries:
1. Visual Focus
Employ good image and video quality to display pieces of art or products. Some of the ones that can be implemented include; Image sliders, lightboxes, and zoom.
2. Categorization
I recommend dividing the gallery into sections of a particular kind or type of picture to make it easy for the visitors to find what they are looking for. I also recommend the use of filter or sorting functionality.
3. Artist or Product Information
I suggest including everything about who is the artist or who is the company or product that is being displayed in the gallery. As a web designer, I would also like to add bios and descriptions as well as background stories to create a connection with the visitors.
Focus on this, and you’ll be fine.
PS: I suggest taking a look at the website examples below. Get inspired by their designs and see which website builders they’ve used. Best of luck!
