👋 My Experience With Author Web Design
Hi – it’s Ralph here 👋 In the past 10 years, I’ve designed 12+ websites for authors. What I learned over the years building websites for authors:
1. Book Showcase
This means ensuring that you set off a part of your website that deals with your books exclusively. Most of the time it should have high-quality of cover images, a short description of the book, and links where one can buy or download the book. I can even recommend you dedicate an area one can extend considering the incorporation of reader reviews or even include testimonials.
2. Blog or News Section
I recommend adding new blogs, updates on new releases, and sneak peeks into what you are working on. This makes the visitors bond and be informed all at once.
3. Social Media Integration
I suggest adding various links to your social media accounts. Include sites such as Twitter, Instagram, or Goodreads. Post the progress of your books, new writing techniques, and more importantly, engage your target group.
Focus on this, and you’ll be fine.
PS: I suggest taking a look at the website examples below. Get inspired by their designs and see which website builders they’ve used. Best of luck!
